Organically grown at the foothills of the Amathola mountains in the Eastern Cape, Grasslands farm is also home to an old rhubarb patch — a quiet, timeworn corner that’s been growing long before trends and seasons came and went.
Each year, without fuss, the hardy stalks push through the soil again, just as they always have, thriving on little more than sunshine, rain, and time.
There’s a certain charm to it — a reminder that not everything needs perfect rows or modern methods to be good. The rhubarb grows bold and tart, full of character, shaped by the land it comes from.
With this we are able to make small batches of homegrown rhubarb jam.
Spread it generously on warm toast, swirl it into yoghurt or add it to your cheese platters — a true taste of Grasslands Farm in every bite!
KINDLY NOTE: Above pricing is exclusive of vat and will be added at checkout.
